Extract Subtitles from MP4
Save an existing MP4 subtitle track as a separate file. Inspect the available language and codec before exporting.
Text tracks in standard, non-fragmented MP4/MOV are supported. Image subtitles, burned-in captions, MKV, fragmented files and edit lists are not supported.

Supported formats

Which MP4 subtitle codecs are supported?
The current extractor supports tx3g and wvtt text samples in standard non-fragmented MP4 without subtitle edit lists.
Are image subtitle tracks supported?
No. Image subtitle formats and OCR are not implemented in this MVP.
Will subtitle styling be retained?
The extractor exports text and timing. Font styling and positioning are not retained.
